A challenging opportunity has arisen with one of Australia's premier open cut coal mining operations for a Dragline Engineer interested in making the progression to a more senior role with greater responsibilities.
Situated in the [Location], this role will be offered on a FIFO or residential basis with a Monday to Friday roster. Within two hours of the Queensland coastline, this role will difficult to match!
The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Dragline Engineer will be accountable for delivering significant dragline results through the effective design, planning, scheduling and facilitation of all dragline operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Design of dragline plans for optimising dragline efficiency
· Ensuring minimal delays through effective scheduling and planning
· Effectively communicating the requirements and expectations of the required work to production staff
· Conducting safety audits and regular safety observations
· Reviewing, monitoring and developing recommendations to improve dragline performance planning
The Candidate
With significant dragline engineering experience in open cut coal mining, you will ideally be able to hit the ground running and operate in an autonomous manner with support available if needed.
The successful candidate will need to possess:
· A mining engineering degree qualification
· A proven track record working on dragline mining methods
· The ability to work autonomously but also as part of a cohesive team
· Proficiency in the use of Vulcan software
· Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

The position will allow you to base yourself in a capital city or excellent company housing in a well established township in Central Queensland that offers a broad range of facilities.
