Our Client: Our client is a junior international natural resources company engaged in acquiring properties, exploring, developing and producing crude oil and natural gas. This position will assist the Senior Contracts Analyst with preparation of back-up documentation and analysis for the acquisition and contracting of services for the company's exploration project.
Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Senior Contracts & Procurement Manager, with day to day direction provided by the Senior Contracts Analyst.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Assist the Senior Contracts Analyst with: Preparation of various forms and documents related to the issuance and award of bids which may include approval to bid, prequalification requests, advertisements, potential supplier evaluation criteria, issuance of bid documents, analysis of bids, award and regret letters, and the approval documents required upon award of the contract;
- Maintenance of databases in Excel of master service, consulting, and call- out agreements, potential supplier prequalification information, and expiry dates followed by notification to appropriate persons; Distribution of notices to suppliers of the upcoming expiry dates for insurance certificates with follow-up to obtain current certificates;
- Organization of C&P files related to bids leading to contracts and the resulting contracts, including tracking and follow-up to ensure compliance with C&P documentation requirements. o Assist the Contracts and Procurement Team with other duties related to: Purchase Orders, logistics and administrative duties as may arise and time permits; Any other tasks which may be requested by the company that fall within the scope of the Services normally offered.
Skills/Qualifications:
A minimum of two years experience in contracts & procurement. International experience would be considered an asset. Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel and Word business software are essential. Strong organizational skills are essential. Member of/or enrolled in PMAC is desirable. Strong written and verbal communications skills are desirable. A degree in some business capacity beneficial to C&P will be considered an asset.
Compensation/Remuneration:
Compensation will be on an hourly rate basis.
