About Us:
The Integrated Oil Division (IOD) is responsible for [Company] integrated business, including our upstream and downstream partnership with [Employer] . The core assets of this partnership are heavy oil producing facilities operated at Foster Creek and Christina Lake in Alberta, and refinery assets operated by ConocoPhillips at Wood River in Illinois, U.S. and Borger in Texas, U.S. [Company] assets outside the partnership include Athabasca Gas and Borealis, Senlac projects, and Kitimat.
Overview:
The Integrated Oil Division is looking for a Contract Project Planning/ Scheduling Coordinator to oversee and contribute to all aspects of schedule development and maintenance for the [Company] Foster Creek/Christina Lake IOD Projects.
Responsibilities:
- leads the continuous development and maintenance of the integrated Master Project Schedule ensuring that contractors', subcontractors' and fabricators' schedules, together with material deliveries and owners' tasks are meeting project milestone dates as agreed by all parties
- work with owner's staff and contractors to develop and status schedules for their project components
- evaluate CMT schedules and perform site scheduling audits
- ensure Master Project Schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure for cost / schedule integration and analysis
- define and optimize critical paths, perform total float analysis and notify project management status of critical activities and schedule risks
- conduct "what-if" scenarios, recovery plans, contingency planning and schedule compression techniques
- provide planning interface to drilling, pre-commissioning & commissioning and system start-up planning
- support CMT monitoring of contractor actual progress versus planned progress and key performance indicators, provide exception reporting, and recommend actions
- produce reports and analysis using Primavera and other system outputs such as bar charts, S-curves, manpower histograms, and Schedule Performance Indexes
- provide support on development of project cost expenditure forecast curves
- perform schedule risk analysis (gather data, input data, analyze, report) on a periodic basis or as required
- seek innovation in scheduling and execution plans that could improve project economics
- functional support to independent project reviews
- develop and mentor direct reports and other project staff
- promote safety leadership and Owner HSE requirements
Qualifications:
- must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- 10+ years of major oil & gas industry project experience
- university or technical school education
- proven background in oil & gas facilities related structural design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning support
- computer literate
- working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner, MS Office applications, especially Project, Excel and Access
- clearly demonstrates strong technical competence
- proven ability to work independently, take direction and work with all levels of management
- strong written and oral communication skills
