Description:
- As a Project Manager, you will work with junior to senior geotechnical colleagues on a variety of projects, with particular emphasis on geotechnical/foundations engineering for transportation and tunnelling projects, though the team also works on land development, mining, power and landfill projects.
- Managing a variety of geotechnical engineering projects, including work plan and budget preparation and monitoring, invoicing and follow-up, supervision and mentoring of junior colleagues, and management of sub-consultants and sub-contractors.
- Ensuring quality control/quality assurance of field work, field data analysis and interpretation, and engineering calculations.
- Writing high quality geotechnical engineering reports.
- Ensuring client satisfaction, including maintaining existing good client relationships, and developing new ones.
Requirements:
- More than 5 years experience with relevant consulting and project management experience in geotechnical / foundation engineering, particularly for transportation and tunnelling projects.
- Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- Strong people skills and a desire and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), including proven capabilities in writing geotechnical reports and technical communications.
- Proven capabilities in planning and supervising geotechnical investigations.
- Experience or aptitude for proposal development, project management, client development, working in a team against tight timelines, and other skills appropriate to consulting.
- Preference given to candidates with demonstrated experience in tunnelling, deep excavations, municipal infrastructure and/or the foundation engineering component of Total Project Management services for MTO.
