Position Summary:
The Subsea Supervisor is either a very experienced Senior Subsea Engineer, or an ex-OEM specialist, who performs audits, plans and manages projects, and supports and trains the subsea personnel.

Assistant Subsea Engineer/Trainee
Subsea Engineer
Senior Subsea Engineer
 
Primary Responsibilities:
Subsea Operations:
Normally a very experienced Senior Subsea Engineer who can support any subsea equipment and/or rig in the fleet.
Must be capable of carrying out full subsea audits.
Can be responsible for SPS and upgrade projects.
Must be willing and capable of passing his experience to the lower ranks within the department.
Must be particularly proficient at reporting.
 
Safety:
Participates in the Safety Training Observation Program (S.T.O.P) and weekly safety and operational meetings.
Develops and implements Job Safety Analyses and prepares risk assessments as required.
Reports all hazards and communicates ideas for enhancing safety standards.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System.
 
Other:
Acts as a member of an emergency team in the event of a fire or other emergency; participates in meetings and drills as a member of an emergency team.
Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.
 
Experience / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute is preferred.
 
Professional Experience:
Skills - Technical:
Must have 5 or more years experience as a Subsea Engineer.
 
Skills - Communication:
Bi-lingual is preferred (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese)
Verbal communication skills necessary.
 
Skills - People:
Ability to interact with individuals in a cross-cultural environment.
Experience as a supervisor is preferred.
Team oriented.
 
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements:
Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by government regulations are required.
Certified in all required safety training programs, including but not limited to underwater safety, fire fighting, and helicopter underwater escape.
Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
