You will provide technical support to our deepwater fleet to include our ultra-deepwater drillships under construction. With [Company] International being one of the world's largest offshore drilling companies with an increasing focus on deepwater and other high-specification drilling solutions, you will be part of a performance-driven company committed to producing outstanding results.
Position summary:
Provide instrument and electrical support to ensure the smoothness of drilling execution with optimal performances. Will also provide technical solutions and expertise to ensure integrity, reliability, safety and environmental integrity of the drilling facilities electrical equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide support to the rigs and area based maintenance staff with electrical equipment related issues.
Communicate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment failures and facilitating the repairs while evaluating and recommending preventive measures to prevent future failures.
Review relevant maintenance and equipment related issues - identify best practices and provide feedback for the updating of the fleet maintenance system.
Conduct maintenance audits and provide good quality recommendations as a result of audit findings.
Provide electrical support for shipyard projects.
Build relationships with manufacturers and suppliers and participate in facility, workshop, and service quality audits.
Assist with the development of standardized electrical equipment repair specifications.
Assist with the development of electrical equipment critical spares list.
Conduct equipment incident investigations to determine root cause of failures and assist with the implementation of the corrective actions.
Qualifications/Education:
High School graduate with formal training in the electrical field.
Professional Experience:
10 years offshore as a Electrician/Electrical Supervisor / Chief Engineer or industry experience in the area of related equipment and systems
Licenses, Certifications Credentials, and Other Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
