[Employer] Corporation is a multidiscipline consulting engineering, geomatics and planning consulting firm with offices in major centers throughout Western Canada. We are currently seeking a Marketing Analyst to join our team. This position is currently situated in Calgary, AB.
While this position reports to the Executive Vice President, Marketing, Business Development and New Ventures, they will also provide assistance to the rest of the Marketing team, as well as assist in the development and promotion of the business unit.
It is anticipated that the role will evolve along with the growth and changes currently underway at Focus. The incumbent will lead the position development, providing the primary input to the ultimate scope of the role.
Role and Responsibility:
The incumbent is marketing professional who fully understands his/her contribution to the success of a team and is able to:
- Provide ROI analysis for all marketing campaigns and sales activities
- Design research projects that answer specific business questions
- Conduct market research to: analyze competitors; determine brand perceptions; evaluate market penetration; understand customer needs
- Build a marketing dashboard that visualizes key performance indicators
- Conduct industry analysis: Social, Technological, Economic, and Political
- Monitor and track competitive advertisements, PR, and website messaging
- Project manage the re-design of corporate internet site
As the successful candidate you have:
- Business related degree from a post secondary institution
- Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing or market research, preferably within the engineering/oil and gas industries
- Technical understanding of marketing planning, research, data analysis, database management systems, CRM Administration, communications, promotions, and business to business marketing
- 2 years experience in database marketing and CRM
- Ability to develop and execute CRM strategies and product improvement roadmaps
- Working knowledge of querying in MS Access
- Strong project management, business writing, and reporting skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Salesforce.com would be an asset
- Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Effective time management, organizational, and leadership skills
