General Duties:
 
This position reports directly to the [Company] Field Services Manager. Successful applicant will provide Heavy Equipment Competency assessment to the [Company] O M staff and craft employees. Assess and document employee competency - written and practical examinations. Organize and maintain all file systems associated with competency training. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to maintain good working relations with first line supervisor and management. Must have Multi-craft experience to perform this position. Help ensure [Company] maintains skilled professional operators with a high degree for Safety, knowledge, quality, and productivity. Test employees on Safe equipment practices, basic knowledge and skills. Review SOPs, THA/JHA for accuracy and compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements, client guidelines, and AES requirements. Establish competency requirements, curriculum and training programs by role and/or equipment as necessary for operator assessment, training, and documentation. Observes workers to determine use and operation of heavy equipment for competency assessments. Review and adopt training requirements as needed to address safety and incident trends in the workplace. Prepares report of findings with recommendations for corrective action. Investigates accidents to ascertain causes for use in recommending preventive safety measures and developing safety program.
 
 
Experience Needed:
 
Ten or More years of North Slope multi equipment operations experience. Instructor Certification preferred. Must become NCCER Master trainer certified within one year.
 
 
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
 
Current/Valid Class A CDL Drivers license, double tanker endorsement, Dot Medical card and current NSTC training. Multi Qualifications/certifications on equipment are required. NCCO Crane certification is desirable.
