The Turbomachinery Project Planner is responsible to issue, update and control the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements, quality policies and project targets of Sales & Contribution Margin.
Essential Responsibilities
Specifically, he/she will be responsible to issue the Project Schedule (First Plan) agreed with OTR functions which is the baseline that sets target dates for the activities for Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing and can be changed only in case of change order.
Project Planner will have also the task to update and review the Project Schedule, to assess and verify the progress made, identify current or possible future conflicts and propose solutions to put in place with cost/benefit analysis. Project Planner will provide Project Manager with all necessary information to issue the Monthly Report according to contractual requirements, basically made of a Gantt project view, showing main activities progress vs. baseline.
Together with Sourcing Fulfillment and Manufacturing Logistic teams, the Project Planner will be also responsible to manage the shipping process.
His/her duties are:
Project Preparation & Startup Phase
- Start involvement in new projects as requested by Project planning Team Leader 30 days before the Project kick-off
- Track and follow-up execution of any specific action identified by Strategic Planning in ITO that have to be started before the issue of First Plan
- Agree with the Project Manager the project split in Planning End Items in order to meet shipment or erection requirements, cost control or Price Split vs. Sales needs
- Issue the First Plan, using TM Planning System in accordance to company planning start-up procedure
- Lead The First Planning Meeting to agree the plan with all the involved functions (Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing)
Project Control and Support Phase
- Control project progress, proactively managing risks
- Proactively work with internal functions and PM to manage project schedule potential or actual issues, making necessary recommendations and supporting their implementation
- Attend the customer meetings regarding planning competence
- Attend the Project Review called from Project Team, taking the lead on planning related topics
- Maintain and regularly communicate to the Project Planning Team Leader the progress & risk scorecard for each project
Qualifications/Requirements
- Engineering background
- Oil & Gas market experience
- Financial basics knowledge
- English fluency
- Capable to show high standard of quality
