Job Description:
The Manager, International Staffing, based in Houston, Texas, will lead the global recruiting network in support of business objectives for the company’s drilling operations, which currently spans 12 countries and employs U.S. and TCN expatriates and international rotators from over 30 countries.
Responsibilities include: at least 70% recruiting and up to 30% generalist duties with a long-term goal towards increased generalist responsibilities to deliver value added service to management and employees.
Ensure compliance with all country specific employment laws.
Partner with division and rig management to determine staffing needs.
Provide sourcing, recruitment, selection coordination, offering, and on-boarding to qualified personnel.
Coordinate with internal/external sources for training, visa applications, drug testing, physicals, immunizations, travel, etc.
Work closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build employee engagement, increase productivity and retention.
Identify and provide training needs to international based HR teams regarding staffing programs. Ensure training objectives are met.
Gather data and analyze trends to develop recommendations for new strategies and solutions to address global compensation and other HR-related issues.
Qualifications:
International HR experience required.
Solid knowledge of recruiting practices.
Working knowledge of the laws and processes related to Human Resources.
Drilling industry experience with knowledge of requirements associated with specific jobs a plus.
Knowledge of metrics and quality performance measurements.
Analytic skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
HR systems knowledge. Familiar with HR tools and applications used for process improvements and enhancements.
Education and Experience:
University degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
Membership in global Human Resource organization(s) is helpful and encouraged, GPHR a plus.
