Company is the regional refining and marketing company serving customers in Eastern Canada and New England. We offer challenging and rewarding employment opportunities throughout our company, and are always seeking committed and talented people to join our team.
Duties include:
- Provide customer service by taking information for orders of heating oil, propane, and diesel and forwarding information as required.
- Provide point of contact for the customers of Irving Oil and excellence in service through verifying and updating customer account information, trouble-shooting and/or solving account related problems, managing the needs of displeased callers, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Providing accurate information on products and services.
- Answering general inquiries, and up selling products and services.
- Ensure problem resolution has been effected by corresponding with the Branch when need arises.
- Reduce company exposure by doing soft collections when customers call and forward to the appropriate Customer Credit Representative as necessary.
- Process returned mail in relation to responding to customer requests/inquiries and account maintenance.
- Processing of customer payments via other payment options.
- Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school required.
- Post secondary degree or community college or equivalent experience an asset.
- Company experience is an asset, customer service experience, and knowledge of business procedures an asset.
- Ability to work well within a team environment is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Problem solving and decision making is necessary.
- Negotiation skills required. Sales background an asset.
- Computer skills are required.
