Company is the regional refining and marketing company serving customers in Eastern Canada and New England. We offer challenging and rewarding employment opportunities throughout our company, and are always seeking committed and talented people to join our team.
Duties include:
- Diagnose problems that occur with heating systems through following basic steps required during inspection by checking components including gas flow, thermostats, heat flow, and insulation.
- Fix problems that occur through reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools to complete repairs.
- Provide final inspections of heating systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely and smoothly through ensuring the settings are right, performing a CO2 check, checking core temperatures, and checking smoke levels.
- Create good customer relations by explaining to customers what was performed through providing a summary of the problem and details of the repairs. - Complete appropriate daily paper work for each service call detailing what was performed, how long it took, and the supplies that were used and submit to Heating Administrative Clerk to record what was perform.
- Maintain daily inventory on the service truck by performing an inventory count and ensuring the number of parts present is equal to the number of parts that should be present.
- Ensure inventory does not build up through performing a yearly inventory count documenting usage of parts, evaluating finances, and identifying shrinkage of inventory.
- Ensure that service truck is in good working order and reliable through performing general maintenance on the vehicle such as cleaning and submitting for repairs when necessary.
- Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.
Requirements:
- Community College certification a must
- 2-3 years experience in heating service with knowledge of gas and liquid propane.
- Must be able to communicate well with people in both French and English. -Critical for this position, a lot of direct communication with Customer.
- Need skills in decision making, dealing with the public and knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and some air conditioning
