Overview:
[Company], a recognized leader in the energy industry, is seeking a Receptionist for its Garyville, LA location.
Responsibilities:
Handles all incoming, outgoing and transferring of calls
Updates and distributes the monthly telephone lists
Maintains and updates the LRD pager list and issues the list as required
Greets visitors and obtains proper authorization for their entrance into the facility
Works on special projects for the Human Resources Department and other departments
Processes work orders for Security
Assists with the paging system, maintains a weekly report on the accuracy of the paging system
Maintains and distributes monthly an accurate home telephone listing for emergency calls
Serves as vacation relief/backup for mailroom duties and other Administrative Services responsibilities
The following are the preferred minimum requirements for the position:
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word & Excel
Excellent secretarial as well as written and verbal communication skills
3 years secretarial or administrative assistant experience
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with deadlines
Demonstrates high level of initiative and self-direction
Prior experience operating a telephone switchboard a plus
