Role synopsis
- Centre of Excellence for lubricants plant manufacturing processes - i.e. blending, product specifications, raw materials, packaging materials, filling lines, various manufacturing and storage facilities, etc.
- Lead process engineering work for plant operations and strategic initiatives including process optimization, raw material and efficiency tracking and utilization improvements, project support and process control support.
- Ensure timely completion of all scheduled preventive maintenance of plant facilities and critical equipment (e.g. hot oil heater, pumps, piping, storage tanks, etc.)
Key accountabilities
- Lead continuous improvement programs to achieve overall improvement in plant performance, productivity and yield. Incumbent shall enhance reliability, availability and performance of plant processes. i.e. Continuous improvements in OEE, Blending/Filling Yield, etc.
- Establish new or review existing manufacturing processes against the best practices of other world class practices in order to ensure best in class manufacturing output in terms of Cost, Efficiency and Yield without compromising on quality and Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE).
- Projects / Plant modifications: Review plant modifications, checks data, design basis for new projects, reviews PFDs, P&IDs data where available, participates in HAZOP / Risk Assessments, commissioning and performance tests.
- The incumbent shall be part of the team involved in maintenance of the company’s ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. He/She shall be one of the quality auditors carrying out internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance and to look for quality improvement opportunities. He/She shall also be actively involved in the Quality Management Review Team.
- Ensure timely completion of all scheduled preventive maintenance of plant facilities and critical equipment (e.g. hot oil heater, pumps, piping, storage tanks, etc.)
- Assist in general maintenance of buildings and structures, office facilities, electrical systems and lighting.
- Carry out effective trouble shooting of process abnormalities using methodical problem analysis tools
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Relevant Engineering Degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience involving both process engineering and operations.
- Working knowledge of the Integrity Management Standard and its implications is essential.
- The incumbent will require a strong commitment to HSSE and process engineering excellence. Functional area experience and expertise in Process Engineering is required.
- Incumbent must possess high level of project organisational skills and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced production environment.
- English - Fluent
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Work experience in a lubricants, consumer packaged goods business or Supply Chain experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective interface with other departments and stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership example in HSSE behaviours - Active in fulfilling HSSE roles and responsibilities.
