Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Truck Supervisor for our Trucking Yard located in Eunice, NM.
Responsibilities:
Supervising the operation of motor vehicles to transport materials, equipment, supplies and/or cargo from one location to another in accordance with company polices and procedures
Providing daily supervision of employees, involving scheduling, monitoring and evaluating performance and productivity
Investigating incidents and accidents, reviewing and approving employee time sheets and field tickets
Reviewing Department of Transportation (DOT) log books and vehicle inspection records
Ensuring all regulatory matters, such as DOT and all of Key’s policies and procedures are observed and followed
Maintaining regular contact and communication with customers at work sites
Establishing an effective rapport with customers for sales purposes, as well as addressing any concerns and resolving any issues or problems
Providing training to new drivers to ensure they understand and conform to all rules and regulations as well as safety requirements and guidelines
Coordinating the transport of materials to and from departments, yards or work locations
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years trucking experience, preferably with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience
Valid driver’s license with a clear record for at least three (3) years
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Good customer relations
Ability to solve problems and make decisions
Excellent safety awareness
Ability to manage and resolve conflict
Leadership and supervisory skills
