Location: Fornebu, Norway

System Engineering is the group within the subsea business area which has the overall responsibility for complete subsea system development contracts. The group has the responsibility for technical coordination between the different product groups within the company to ensure complete system deliveries. Personnel within the system group will therefore need to be technologically skilled within different relevant technologies and product areas.
 
The system test group is part of the System Engineering department involved during all the different phases of a project, but the majority of scope is within testing of the system and to a certain extent during the installation and operations phase of the project.
 
Work Tasks and areas of responsibility:
  • System test philosophy
  • System test procedures
  • System test planning
  • Participate in EFAT and System Integration Test
  • Participate in tender work
  • Participate in study and concept activities
 
Education and Experience:
  • Background from construction, fabrication or operation of subsea or offshore oil & gas production systems.
  • Preferably engineering experience from subsea or offshore projects
  • Preferably a degree in Engineering (BSc), preferably Mechanical-, Marine-, Control- or Cybernetics engineering.
 
Personal Qualities:
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner
  • Ability to work proactive and independently but also strong in teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
 
Highly motivated and enthusiastic person with the right attitude will also be evaluated
 
The position will require travel to fabrication sites within Norway and abroad where the testing is executed. During execution of test on site, job rotation will normally be the preferred routine.
