One of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry is actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their facility in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of the development of tools, products, and services used in well logging and formation evaluation
May lead projects or design teams developing test procedures, conducting tests and analysis for assigned projects
Advise and assist manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services
Incorporates reliability, health, safety and environment (HSE) and quality analysis techniques during the design process
Requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering ( a MSME is a plus )
At least 5 to 7 years experience in design of machine members and pressure containing housings, utilizing conventional stress analysis techniques, including finite element analysis
Experience in high pressure o-ring sealing applications and design
Experience in basic applications of the principles of heat transfer
Experience with metallic and non-metallic materials and their application in high temperature and high pressure environments
Must have experience with 3D CAD software packages and a sound understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD &T)
