Description
Nomac Drilling is seeking to fill the newly created position of Top Drive Engineering Manager. This position reports directly to the VP of Construction and Engineering and will be instrumental in the development of and oversee the formation of a Top Drive Engineering department. The successful candidate will possess an engineering degree and have in depth knowledge of Top Drive systems used in the drilling industry. The Engineer's primary responsibility is to increase the operational efficiency of the company and review new technologies for future implementation.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 10 - 15 years experience as a Top Drive Engineer
- Highly experienced with Varco and CanRig Electric Top Drives
- Able to read hydraulic and electric schematics for top drive systems
- Prior leadership experience is desired
- Professional certifications and training
- Strong Communication Skills
- Hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair experience
- Ability to travel as needed
