Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and a highly motivated Environmental/Governmental Affairs Liaison in our western slope Colorado area. [Company]has exploration and development projects in nine basins and a regional overthrust belt across the Rocky Mountains. We are looking for an individual that has experience in handling the oil & gas environmental, legislative and regulatory compliance concerns with local, state and federal governments for a growing field operations organization. This position will review and incorporate relevant regulations including RCRA, HSWA, CERCLA, NEPA, SARA, Clean Air and Water Acts.
We would prefer this position to be located in our Silt, CO operation area with responsibilities extending to all [Company]areas in CO, UT and WY.
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
B.S. degree in a related physical science field is required – M.S. degree a significant plus
10+ years industry experience with a significant portion dedicated to environmental/governmental affairs work, Rockies experience a plus
Excellent teamwork skills given the fluid nature of these concerns and the many details involved
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong computer skills
Demonstrated extraordinary self-motivation skills and the initiative to accomplish multiple work objectives while meeting deadlines
