Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical minded Joint Interest Billing (JIB) Accountant to join our busy accounting department.
The individual we are seeking will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and the responsibilities for the position will include:
- Responsible for billing division of interest maintenance of allocation masters based on the producing well lists
- Prepare and import monthly vouchers for rebilling pre-drills and performs other system JIB rebills in addition to correcting JIB vouchers as needed
- Responsible for coding, troubleshooting and importing non-operated JIB into the Excalibur A/P module
- Assist with A/R balance analysis and collections
- Prepares manual invoices in Excalibur for JIB, Revenue, Marketing and Land Cash Calls as needed
- Responsible for uploading & monitoring AFE’s in Excalibur AFE module. Help field personnel with AFE related questions.
- Responsible for booking cash receipts for JIB invoices and miscellaneous A/P related deposits.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Our successful candidate will possess:
- B.S. Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA a plus
- Demonstrated success in meeting deadlines on a consistent basis
- Strong communication, analytical, and organization skills
- Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel skills
- Positive attitude, team oriented, and ability to work independently
