This position leads quality assurance and quality compliance at the FEED stage of a complex, multi-billion dollar mega-project. Application of best practices will result in substantial improvement in operability and reliability in the lifecycle of the asset. Close coordination and strong working relationships across various Groups in the organization (i.e., Facility Engineering, Subsurface Development, Contractors) is required for success.

Asset Director (via business process)
Mission
Responsible for managing all QA/QC procedures, systems and activities including quality management systems, control of QA/QC documents, site monitoring & inspection, implementation according to plans and specifications, and control of non-conformances.
Key Job Responsibilities
Quality Management Program
• Develop, maintain and update Client’s Project Quality Management Program in accordance with Client HQ corporate standards and international best practices
• Ensure that all quality control requirements are in compliance with Client and industry standards
• Establish procedure for failure investigation
• Target quality surveillance activities to provide early identification of quality problems or test confidence in Contractors’ competency
• Coordinate audits, inspections and required post activity follow ups; attend third-party audits and inspections
• Analyze inspection and test results, non-conformances and concessions to identify adverse trends
• Highlight critical issues to the Management of Client’s Project; organize formal review to identify remedial actions
• Manage a team of engineers and inspectors for day to day QA/QC functions during EPC phase
Planning, Report and Documentation
• Own QA/QC FEED and EPC work plan, schedule and milestones, manpower planning, costs, and budget
• Prepare regular reports on progress and performance especially failures and achievements
• Verify production of quality records and compilation in a format suitable for handover to operations
• Own surveillance records and non-conformance reports
Line Support
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Line for quality management and continuous improvement
• Lead sessions with the Line to verify quality compliance and identify means of improvement
• Inform Line of deviations or non-conformances to Quality Management Program of Client’s Project; recommend solutions and oversee follow ups
Contractor Management
• Review and approve main Contractors’ Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and agree monitoring programme
• Organize and attend Subcontractor audits; review Subcontractor quality control programs
• Organize meetings with Contractors as required; invite Line personnel when necessary to review performance
Development and Leadership
• Ensure behaviors, performance, and resourcing of own group support Client’s goals, company policy and standards
• Participate in business planning, budgeting, Systems Integration, peer reviews, and other initiatives as required
• Encourage commitment for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing among subordinates
• Mentor and appraise staff in own group
• Any other activities as requested to support Client’s success
Requirements
• Experience in overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities
• Strong experience in quality management
• Excellent knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to floating oil and gas production facility
• Close coordination with Client’s HQ, other Client groups and Contractors is required
• Have working experiences in Indonesia
• University degree in engineering
• 10+ years in engineering and QA/QC roles in Oil & Gas companies; extensive ISO 9000 experience
