[Company], with about 1,000 Alaska employees, has major ownership in and operates the Kuparuk River Unit, the Colville River Unit (Alpine), the Greater Mooses Tooth Unit (in the National Petroleum Reserve Alaska), the North Cook Inlet Unit and the Beluga River Unit fields, as well as the Kenai LNG Plant. Description:
This position is directly accountable to the CD5 Project Manager and functionally accountable to the Procurement Manager AK. The successful candidate will plan and execute project procurement and contracting strategy in compliance with both [Company] corporate processes and Alaska business unit procurement requirements. They will serve in a tactical working role to lead the production of all required procurement and contracting work product and deliverables as part of the integrated company's project management team. They will provide leadership and coordination of the project procurement resources required to deliver the project procurement needs.
Responsibilities:
The Project Contracts Lead will have a focus on contracting efforts and will be responsible for:
- Serving as key member of the Project Management Team
- Preparation of Project Contract documents
- Facilitiation of RFP cycle including document development
- Interface with the construction management group
- Leading the project procurement and contracting effort
- Serving as liaison and ensuring compliance with corporate and business unit procurement requirements
- Validating and delivering the Project Procurement and Contracting Strategy Plan (PPCSP) while meeting the project schedule objectives
- Evaluation and timely communication of all resource requirements to deliver the PPCSP
- Participating in and overseeing procurement and contract related deliverables from all CD-5 Contractors and Engineering companies
- Identifying and managing project contracting risks
- Managing the supervision of Engineering Contractors long lead plans for materials, facilities and service contracts
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
5 years or more of remote or logistically complex project experience
3 years or more direct experience in company managed contracting strategy development
5 years or more direct experience in goods and services contract management, including: generation, negotiation, execution and administration on large projects
Preferred:
Bachelors degree
Experience working in Alaska or other arctic area
Experience in complex, company managed contracting strategy development
Contracts Manager Certification
