Job description
Build [Company]'s local technical competence within the reservoir and production technology disciplines related to fields in production offshore Newfoundland and Labrador as well as possible future field developments
Evaluate and assess reservoir models, production strategy and forecasts as well as drilling and workover plans
Develop extensive contacts with relevant technical networks within Canada and [Company] in Norway
Participate and represent [Company] in various partner committees
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in Petroleum Technology or a related discipline. A Master's degree is considered a strong asset
- 5 – 10 years of operational experience, direct experience with reservoir simulation modeling, reserves preparation and reservoir surveillance
- Hands-on experience with geophysical and geological workflows would be an advantage
- Your ability to thrive and enjoy working in an international environment, within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams is essential, in addition to strong communication and teamwork skills
- P. Eng. designation and eligible for registration as a professional engineer with PEG-NL
- High standards and business ethics in line with [Company]
- Ability to make technical decisions and handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Independent work ethic and at the same time, ability to be a strong multidisciplinary team player
- Excellent written and oral command of English
- Occasional travel and future relocation possibilities
