EXPERIANCE / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- University Graduate in Engineering discipline, preferably mechanical. 5-8 years experience in oil and gas transportation system; rotating equipments; engineering design and contract management.
- Previous work experience in pipeline brown field projects, involving intervention in live systems such as hot tap and stoppling operations.
- Must have had significant involvement with business/commercial aspects such as project economics, planning, budget cycles, HSE and contracts management.
- Fully computer literate, good spoken/written English and driving license.
- General project management skills (Plan/Track/Deliver)
- Positive professional attitude, open to change.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral / written communication and organizing skills are essential
- PC Literate in Microsoft office suite and e-mail communications.
- Good knowledge of SAP system and able to use it efficiently.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To execute green and brown field projects in [Company] MOL/SOGL system, booster pump stations and SGOL system.
- To execute brown field projects in tank farm and terminal facilities.
- To ensure that the requirements of the HSE/QA management system and those specific accountabilities summarised in the HSE/QA/QC Policy, are implemented as per the Principle Accountabilities.
- Manage the design, procurement and construction contracting process to [Company] standards, particularly the Project Engineering Code of Practice.
- Prepare tenders for EPC and for construction contracts as required for projects in hand.
- Manage a team of third party representatives / inspectors monitoring the work and the Company Site Representative (CSR) as required for projects executed.
- Ensure minimum deferment and that plans for shutdowns are agreed by operation team and entered into 90 day plan.
- Ensure that project and project expenditure plans are set-up and updated monthly. Costs are reported through the financial process
- Monitor expenditure on own projects on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that project plans are entered into SAP/Premavera planning tool and updated monthly. Costs are reported through the financial process.
- Liaise with concept engineers in the Front-End design stages and ensure smooth transition to and through execution phase is achieved.
- As member of the Infrastructure team fulfil all tasks given which are in line with the overall requirements of the UIP team.
- Ensure as built documentation, drawings, close out reports, operating and maintenance manuals, Preventative Maintenance, SPIRS are prepared and entered in SAP/ handed across to the relevant parties.
- Conduct regular interior site visit at project sites.
- To attend mandatory HSE training and other training that is required by the position.
- To be a member of engineering emergency response team (LECC)
CHALLENGES:
Strong project management skills are required. Executing projects in a congested brownfield environment and live MOL system will require detailed attention to HSE, interfaces with other assets and close liaison and agreements with operation and production planning teams.
