The Role:
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to move into an international tax advisory role, within a commercial environment. The Global Tax Manager position has been structured to give the candidate the broadest range of international work which will ensure the successful applicant gains excellent knowledge and experience. The role involves dealing with tax matters for the group globally, which covers over 30 countries.
Key tasks will consist of the following:
- Assist commercial teams at the tendering stage as well as providing ongoing support to operations department once projects have been awarded.
- Assistance with general group tax planning / restructuring.
- Provision of support to our Head of Tax as and when necessary. This will include assisting with other regional tax matters.
- Overseeing some outsourcing of tax compliance and providing guidance to the Regional Finance teams on day to day matters. This may include involvement in VAT, personnel tax etc.
The Candidate:
- Is ACA/CA and/or CTA qualified.
- Has strong experience in a corporate tax role, with international tax experience.
- Is positive and energetic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Has a real desire to gain good international tax experience.
- Is a self-starter, willing to take ownership of tasks.
- Has a willingness to undertake some international travel.

Qualifications and Education
General Education:
- Degree qualified with either tax or accounting professional qualification
Specified Qualifications for position:
- ACA/CA and/or CTA qualified.
Continuing Professional Development:
- Possesses a real desire to gain good international tax experience
Experience
General Experience:
- Experience of working in a tax role within an oil services company would be an advantage
Technical Experience:
- Must have considerable experience within a corporate tax role with international experience.
Self Managerial Experience:
- Able to work autonomously
Location Mobility:
- Based in [Company] but must be willing to travel internationally if required.
