Description:
Information Technology Shared Services provides technical support and services to the global COP network.
Responsibilities:
The Server Analyst is a contributing member of the Server Management Team and may be responsible for:
Administration, maintenance and architecture of Server Management Tools including monitoring, configuration, web, and patch management.
Developing and promoting standard operating procedures.
Conducting audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma/GED
Four years of direct experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem solving with servers
Willing and able to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining the operating system and hardware on Windows based servers
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other IT/IS related major
Knowledge of Windows server administration processes and best practices in a large distributed environment
Knowledge of VB scripting, Powershell, and SQL
Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography
Knowledge of unattended setup procedures and RIS
Knowledge of SMS and applications deployment
Understanding of WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS
Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy and DFS
Knowledge of remote support concepts and tools
Operations experience
Self-starter
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of Windows 2000 or 2003 Professional and Advanced Server technology
Diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem solving for hardware, software, and OS
Setup, configuration, and problem diagnostics of server hardware including RAID, mirrored disks, and SAN/NetApp
Experience with Project planning, development and completion
Experience with MS SQL Reporting Service
