The Lead Operator will be responsible for maintaining the field to high Health Safety & Environment standards in a cost effective manner. This person will also monitor and test oil/gas wells as per [Company] / Regulatory guidelines and requirements; assist with engineering strategies to optimize production and reserve pressure maintenance. The candidate may be required to operate any combination of oil and gas wells or battery / gas compression facilities. The candidate should reside in SW Saskatchewan area.
Main Responsibilities & Activities:
- Monitor wells, facilities and production equipment
- Communicate and prioritize field operation requirements
- Determine and communicate production problems to support personnel
- Maintain production records, downtime/chemical/water injection reports
- Shut down and start up of wells for well servicing
- Participate in monthly safety meetings
- Maintain log sheets on a daily basis
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Grade 12 diploma required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
- Strong planning, business and communication skills
- Complete working knowledge of plant, corporate safety and environmental rules, procedures, and policies
- Decision making capabilities
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office applications
- Safety training current and up to date including: First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, TDG/WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher Training, Ground Disturbance (level II),Defensive Driving
