Coord, Procurement
Position Summary
This position will provide a division with a single point of contact for the management of the bidding process and fulfilling orders.  This is a hands-on position that will conduct bids and fulfill orders while also directing other procurement professionals in the same.  This position will co-locate with the division  operating personnel.
 
Roles/Responsibilities
 
Attend divisional  planning and scheduling sessions and update the procurement planning strategy;
Conduct and coordinate the bid process for all categories that are not strategically sourced.  Negotiate pricing for all materials that are bid and negotiate pricing and terms and conditions for services that are bid;
Conduct and coordinate the fulfillment of orders;
Assign procurement professionals to projects in the division to provide project-specific support for bidding and fulfilling orders;
Coordinate the workload of the SCM professionals assigned to the division.  Work with other Division Procurement Leads and the Procurement Manager to balance workloads across the divisions.;
Conduct and coordinate logistics arrangements and expediting of materials for fulfilling orders;
Monitor returns and damaged rental equipment;
Monitor the master list of materials and services to ensure orders are released as scheduled;
Maintain the repository for work orders, short form contracts and purchase orders;
Create new master service agreements;
 
Qualifications
 
Education
 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline required.
  • Experience
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in purchasing;
  • Experience in an organization utilizing best-in-class supply chain practices;
  • Experience in E&P operations;
  • Working knowledge of electronic procurement tools
  • Skills/Competencies
  • Ability to negotiate commercial terms;
  • Ability to conduct a bid process;
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices including sourcing, market analysis, contracting methodologies, risk analysis, and supplier performance management;
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to support business objectives;
  • Strong networking, interpersonal and collaboration skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong written, verbal and PC skills (MS-Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint)
  • Strong influencing skills
