Responsibilities
The position will perform reservoir engineering functions including building the technical and economic model for evaluations of producing properties and development opportunities for acquisitions, divestitures and trades. This includes forecasting production, estimating reserves and developing future capital programs with buy-in from the divisions. Performing risk and statistical analysis (e.g. reserves and IP distributions; type curves) will be important. Responsibilities also include screening potential acquisition opportunities, including identifying pro-active, unsolicited assets that the company should pursue. The position will be a part of a multi-disciplined team and will actively contribute to business development strategy discussions. The candidate will also be responsible for making recommendations to management based on the results of the economic evaluations.
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelors degree in engineering
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas industry with a preference given to business development or acquisition experience.
Proven record of technical achievement, opportunity and value generation
Experience in reserves estimation, acquisitions and divestments, practical reservoir engineering and reservoir management applications, economic and risk analysis, field operations, and development planning
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently, as well as within a multi-discipline team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be a self starter and able to work well in an inter-disciplinary environment
