Role Summary/Purpose
The Cash Analyst provides leadership in driving visibility, forecasting, accurate and timely reporting of Cash Flows for Units business.
Essential Responsibilities
- In particular he/she is responsible to manage the flow of receivables in Units business, namely Cash, Past Due and Unbilled.
- This includes support in the preparation, the discussion, and finalization of the annual
- Operating Plan (OP) as well as the necessary quarterly revision of such plan.
- Also he/she participates to the medium and long-term strategy of the company helping to develop the three-year plan (Session 1) as well as the one-year and quarterly forecast (Session 2).
- He/she strives the operations to achieve the company entitlement for cash as well as to reduce Past Due and Unbilled, according to the Company’s targets.
Particularly the Cash Analyst is responsible to:
- Regularly interface with Finance ([Company] Capital Collectors) to real time assess status of receivables, agree appropriate improvement actions and fix them.
- Interface with ITO, Initiatives Team and Finance to extend the practice of advance payments and enhance quarter collection.
- Support the project manager in the invoicing process to optimize quarter cash flow and resolve any invoice issue (invoice for payment, sales, shipping).
- Support the project manager for all the tasks related to the project data maintenance (Oracle) in order to proactively identify the invoicing risk and related function
- Assure together with PM, the proper milestone achievement before invoicing (bank warranty, milestone completion certificates) and that the invoice due date is in accordance with the contract
- Support the project manager and the Customer Negotiation Team, in dispute resolution (Liquidated Damages and Back Charges) whenever financial aspects are relevant
- Get involved in internal job kick off meetings (RAC) for any matter concerning the project financials and monitor project cash flow.
- Coordinate, cross functionally (Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing) the resolution of unbilled cases before they become critical.
- Support project management to prepare the quarter Past Due resolution roadmap
- Report out to the PM and Finance team on the course and final result of the cash related metrics (Cash S-curve, PD control chart, Customer scorecard).
- In general he/she will promote/participate/consolidate all those initiatives focused on enhancement of cash flow in order to assure a financially sustainable growth and Working Capital control.
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 3 years in similar roles
- Strong technical or economical background
- Effective communication skills
- English fluency
- Excellent organisation skills, open mind-set, high self-confidence, self-driven
