Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for an energetic team player to join our Accounting Department on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services in a fast-paced environment.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Processing and preparing monthly invoices as directed by Project Managers;
Responding to internal client inquiries;
Data entry relating to accounts receivable,
Updating project budgets;
Interpretation and investigation of work in progress and billing (problem solving);
Running accounting reports as required;
Analyzing and following-up on monthly reports;
Account reconciliation;
Assisting the monthly billing cycle;
Filing of accounting related material will also be required on occasion.
Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will take ownership for a task well done and possess the following skills and attributes:
At least 3-5 years work experience in general accounting functions with specific experience in accounts receivable (invoicing and reconciling) and bank reconciliations;
Attention to detail;
Flexible, can-do attitude
Ability to learn processes quickly and prioritize client requirements;
Ability to work with limited supervision and have an appreciation of confidentiality & deadlines;
Enjoy working as part of a team and possess good communication skills and a friendly, pleasant manner;
Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel;
Previous experience working in a consulting business would be considered an asset
