We are a rapidly growing company undergoing significant change and are currently seeking a Developer to assist our development team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Assist with requirements gathering and preparation of specification documentation
• Participate in solution visioning and application design activities
• Perform application development
• Perform problem solving activities and propose solution options
• Design, development and support of CriticalControl’s core product lines, including ProStream, Corrosion Watch, ProTrend, and NetFlow.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Related post-secondary education (minimum 2 year program)
• 3 or more years in software design and development
• 2 or more years in a Microsoft .Net development environment
• 2 or more years working with a server based relational database, such as Oracle or SQLServer (MS SQLServer preferred).
• 1 or more years experience developing graphical user interfaces, in particular geographic information systems (GIS) using a map view of the data.
• Experience developing windows applications, web applications, and web services and in using 3rd party object libraries.
• Experience working with a remote computing environment or working with distributed computing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Some knowledge of GIS software packages; ArcGIS knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with the oil and gas industry and related terminology.
• Technical knowledge and experience deploying and configuring applications in a Citrix/XenApp environment.
• Experience writing stored database procedures and triggers.

We require candidates to have excellent communication and documentation skills, a strong desire to succeed and the ability to see projects through to completion. This skilled individual must be a quick learner able to work both independently as well as within a team environment.
