The Surveyor reports to the Manager of Field Services.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide survey control and services to Mine Operations
Update surfaces and provide as-built drawings, volume calculations and reporting
Basic maintenance of equipment
Qualification Requirements:
Technical diploma in Mining or Civil Engineering or a recognized survey qualification
Earthworks or surface mining experience, specializing in surveying (Geomatics) is preferred.
Experience with Minescape and/or Mine Sight, MS Office and Trimble Office would be an asset
Eligibility for ASET membership is an asset
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
Personal Characteristics:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with others at various levels within the company
- Motivated, self starter who can work well independently or within a team environment
- An effective communicator with the ability to develop positive working relations across a multitude of business units
- Exercises good judgment on complex decisions
