[Company] is a leading provider of safe, high performance energy services to the North American oil and gas industry. [Company] provides customers with access to an extensive fleet of contract drilling rigs, service rigs, camps, snubbing units, wastewater treatment units and rental equipment backed by a comprehensive mix of technical support services and skilled, experienced personnel.
Billings Analyst
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the preparation and posting of all drilling invoices;
- Works closely on a day to day basis with the contracts department;
- Separates and files incoming tour sheets;
- Analyzes in detail rig tour sheets and drilling contracts to ascertain proper charge out rates for the various activities;
- Prepares in a timely manner all drilling invoices for issuance to clients, for review with the contracts department;
- Prepares and reviews all third party billings working closely with the accountants and accounts payable department;
- Posting of all approved invoices to accounting system;
- Distributes invoices to Operator via mail, email and electronic transfer;
- Reports operating days to Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC);
- Secures and keeps on file drilling contracts which pertain to past, present and future wells;
- Performs other accounting functions as required by the accounting department i.e.: Month end reporting, posting of accrual J/E’s, reconciliation of billings to accounting system; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma;
- Previous administration experience would be an asset;
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and information systems would be an asset;
- Working knowledge of SAP;
- The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with excellent organizational and communication skills;
- A strong orientation to detail and a willingness to learn and take additional training as required; and,
- The candidate should have initiative, self-discipline and should be an enthusiastic team player with good communication skills.
