Description
This position is responsible for the maintenance inspections, reciprocating engines and compressors, and auxiliary plant equipment. Troubleshooting and overhaul of Allison and Solar gas turbines, centrifugal gas compressors. The position is within a maintenance group which requires frequent travel. The regular work schedule is four ten hour days per week. The position requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends. The position requires the operation of a company vehicle. Applicant must be able to operate hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools. Proficiency with micrometers are precision measuring equipment is also required.
Qualifications
The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of mechanical equipment.
Manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, walking on catwalks, balancing on piping, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, lifting, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment.
Must display skills in human relations and ability to work effectively with fellow employees, customers and external contacts.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic computer skills are required.
Good verbal and communication skills are necessary along with the ability to keep detailed records.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
