Job Description
This position is responsible for the safe repair and installation of electrical systems, controls, motors and machinery. May be required to perform general plant maintenance.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for the installation and repair of machine tool, truck, crane, motor, machine control, generator and power equipment electrical systems, welding machines, turn tables and computer equipment.
2. Install electrically powered machinery and equipment.
3. Install and repair lighting and conduit systems.
4. Assemble electrical test and control equipment.
5. Analyze and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, computer and CNC control malfunctions.
6. Assist in general maintenance activities.
7. Responsible for observing safety precautions at all times.
8. Performs related miscellaneous work as required.
9. Responsible for hook ups and disconnects of test motors for Plant Air Compressors.
10. Self motivated and able to motivate others.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications
A minimum of five (5) years electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required. One (1) year Technical degree in Electronics is preferred; a High School degree is required. The incumbent must be fully capable of wiring, installing conduit and disconnects and other related electrical components in voltages up to 480 volts. Able to operate electrical switch gears and vacuums switches in voltages up to 4,800 volts. Must be able to interpret machine manuals, drawings, and schematics. Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
