Role synopsis
The Petroleum Engineers will work in the Base Management Teams reporting to the Base Management Team Leaders (BMTL). The PE positions are expected to provide Petroleum Engineering input in all areas of Base Management for the wells they are responsible for. The PE will be expected to bring in Best Practices from his/her background.
These positions will be working daily with several other departments, which include New Well Planning, Reservoir Management, Drilling and Completions, Operations, Supply Chain Management, HSE, and partners.
Key accountabilities
• Well performance and well management
• Optimization of production taking into account individual well production limits and process capacity constraints.
• Short term production and injection forecasting
• Participate in the preparation, planning and supervision of well intervention programs for maintenance, surveillance, stimulation, water and gas management.
• Well integrity management, mainly through daily monitoring of well.
• Well performance modelling.
Essential criteria & qualifications
• Azerbaijani citizenship
• Degree in Engineering or any other Technical Discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a petroleum engineer.
• Fluency in English
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Experience working in oil fields with waterflooding.
• Understanding of well surveillance needs and requirements.
• Development of well intervention programs.
• Previous assignments that required well integrity responsibilities.
• Skills relating to all Base Management activities for a companies well stock.
• Strong communication skills
