Operations Manager, Fort McMurray - New Branch Oil and Gas Sector
Our client, a well established and long term service provider in the oil and gas refinery and upgrader sector, has established a new branch in the Edmonton area. To assist with the company's extensive growth plans, they are in need of an Operations Manager to lead, support, and service numerous clients in the bustling and thriving town of Fort McMurray.
Education and Experience
Your experience in working in larger refineries and/or upgraders, along with your progressive career moves, has aided you in your success in the oil and gas market. Your exposure to this sector gives you a leg up in developing and increasing the market share within the Upstream (SAGD & CSS), Heavy Oil and Upgrader areas.
Reporting to the newly hired General Manager you will be working with and leading a team of internal employees, refinery operations personnel, turnaround professionals, maintenance personnel, and process engineers to plan and carry out preparation work for unit turnarounds and strategies to improve operating efficiencies. The Operations Manager must be comfortable working in the refinery, but must also be ready and able to support sales personnel in customer presentations. You will be responsible for creating, reviewing and implementing MOC-level clearing and cleaning procedures using computer-based document and CAD programs. You are a cost control leader; using safe, sound, and conservative decisions. Most importantly you have a servant's heart through and through.

You have completed your Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) and have 10 years process experience OR you have 15 years refinery or upgrader experience as a Lead Foreman or Shift Supervisor.
An attractive six figure salary with a commission and bonus structure, along with full benefits and an auto package, will be offered to you as the successful incumbent.
