Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a growing, dynamic organization of professionals with a long and proud history of technical innovation and excellence.
We are seeking a self starter with a strong customer service focus to join the Edmonton team. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise and experience in HVAC to design plumbing and fire protection for commercial and institutional building projects with construction budgets ranging from $1,000,000 to $10,000,000. You will administrate projects as assigned by the Executive Management team. If you have a results driven attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills along with well developed interpersonal skills will ensure your success.
The successful candidate will possess at least 7 years experience in design, along with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and be eligible for registration with APEGGA.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Accountable for technical design for major projects
- Mentoring junior team members, and acting as a technical resource
- Liaising successfully with clients, and building relationships as a trusted advisor
- Participating in proposal process as a Subject Matter Expert
Qualifications:
- You have an engineering degree and a P.Eng, and are a technical mentor to your team.
- You are a trusted advisor to your clients, and have 7-10 years of experience as an engineering consultant (ideally in building services) to draw from.
- You are just as excited about design as you are about managing projects and working with clients - and are equally competent in each area.
- You can think both innovatively and analytically to solve complex problems, and as a result your decisions are sound.
- You are well versed in the technology of the field
