The Purchaser/Receiver will source, purchase and receive materials for our electrical projects. Based out of our Edmonton operation, this salary position will report directly to our Purchasing Manager. There are advancement opportunities within the [Company] group of companies for those who demonstrate ambition and excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Purchasing a variety of electrical materials
- Identifying any discrepancies of material received and the original purchase order
- Informing the purchasing department of any discrepancies and taking corrective steps with items as needed
- Communicating with vendors and their AR departments to assist with the smooth flow of paperwork to our Accounts Payable department
- Entering data into our internal databases
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of purchasing or receiving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Versed in the MS Office Suite of products
- Professional English and communication skills

- Your prior experience in the electrical industry is an asset

- You have the ability to manage work and adapt to changing work environments
- You are highly organized and have the ability to manage deadlines
