[Company]'s Red Deer office has over 120 people supporting our clients locally and across Canada. We are currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to work in the group that specializes in the design and development of instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems in a variety of industries.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
  • PLC and HMI/SCADA programming,
  • Electrical design,
  • Field commissioning of control, instrumentation and electrical systems,
  • Working closely with our clients to understand their needs from project conception through to commissioning and turnover of the system,
  • Development of datasheets and instrumentation specifications.
 
Qualifications: 
 
  • Professional Engineering designation with APEGGA or Certified Engineering technologist designation with ASET.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in instrumentation, controls and electrical systems including:
  • PLC programming in ladder logic and function block,
  • HMI/SCADA programming,
  • Field commissioning in control, instrumentation and electrical systems,
  • Instrumentation specifications and datasheet development
  • Low voltage electrical design for industrial processes.
  • Experience in the following areas are not essential but would be considered an asset:
  • Medium voltage design,
  • AutoCAD Electric and ETAP,
  • Experience with communications systems and topologies,
  • Visual basic, C++, PHP, SQL and LISP programming.

Red Deer is within 1 ½ hours of Alberta's two largest cities of Calgary and Edmonton.
