Our Environmental Management group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in marine biology, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, botany, hydrogeology, hydrology, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, GIS, and Information Management. We help our clients to identify and respond to opportunities and threats within constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments, through active engagement with the public, stakeholder groups, and governmental regulators. Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that may include endangered species assessments, habitat restoration, wetland characterizations, and water resources management. We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team and advance their career.
[Company]'s downtown (8th Avenue) Calgary office is currently seeking a Project Manager to support the Environmental Planning and Permitting group.
The successful candidate will provide project management support to the technical project managers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project planning and scheduling
- Cost controls
- Workforce planning and allocations
- Client liaison and management
- Progress reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field from an accredited post secondary institution.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI.
- Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in a consulting environment
- Be able to demonstrate solid leadership and communication skills.
- Well versed in commonly used project delivery models
- Strong understanding and experienced in planning/scheduling techniques and cost and risk management
