Location: Bonnyville, AB, Canada

Primary responsibilities:
 
  • Disassemble tools that have been returned from jobs; clean parts
  • Re-assemble tools into functioning order after they have been cleaned
  • Paint re-assembled tools and document their condition
  • Place assembled tools on the rack using the crane or forklift
  • Assemble tool hookups in preparation for jobs when required
  • Document tool hookups by recording tool part numbers, serial numbers, maximum OD and minimum ID and lengths on the caliper sheet
  • Pick up and drop off third party items from various suppliers
  • Act as a "hot shot"  to deliver tools to the field when needed
  • Maintain the workshop in an orderly and clean condition at all times
  • Maintain, organize and ensure proper condition of shop hand tools and equipment
  • Track the whereabouts and status of running tools, crossovers and equipment
  • Submit necessary paperwork or electronic transactions that will ensure proper inventory movement
 
Secondary responsibilities:
 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Reasonable requests from colleagues are met promptly
  • Essential information relating to daily work schedules is provided clearly & accurately
  • Provide support to colleagues that appear to be in work related difficulties
  • Establish and maintain relationships with visitors
  • Visitors are greeting in a manner which promotes goodwill
  • Provide sufficient information to meet their identified needs
  • Where information requests are outside the job holders responsibility, these should be passed on to the appropriate person promptly
 
Qualifications
 
  • Previous work as a shop hand and/or assembly/repair of machinery
  • Product knowledge of liner and inflatable equipment is preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Manual dexterity and strength, use of solvent tank, grinder and buffing wheel is required
  • Operation of forklift and crane, paint booth and mask
  • Neat and legible handwriting; basic organizational skills
  • Use of OD and ID calipers and tape measure
  • Valid drivers license with clean abstract
  • Ability to follow directions with good judgment of time
