Job Description
Our Client is looking for a Cost Engineer. This is a contract position based in Los Angeles, California, USA.
The primary purpose of the Cost Engineer will be to assist with development of capital cost estimates, including Owner’s Cost and Un-Allocated Provision (UAP).
You will also assist with development, monitoring and reporting of annual budgets.
Responsibilities
Ensuring that the engineering contractor develops and implements a sound plan for developing capital cost estimates.
Working with the engineering contractor to ensure development of a high quality capital cost estimate.
Ensuring that the engineering contractor properly documents the basis of the capital cost estimate.
Establishing baseline annual budgets; tracking and reporting actual expenditures against the budget.
Requirements
The Cost Engineer must be aware of industry trends to ensure appropriate cost targets are established.
Candidates must be highly competent in the use of Kildrummy Cost Manager and Microsoft Excel.
Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Word.
The salary for this position is negotiable depending on experience.
