Description
Participate in the conceptual development of oilfield related heavy equipment work projects and oversee the organization, scheduling and implementation
Work with foremen to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with various projects involving all types of heavy equipment and discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and equipment problems
Establish project objectives, budgets, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
Initiate and maintain liaison with client representatives and other contacts in the field to facilitate project activities
Represent company in project meetings, attend strategy meetings and use technical data to update reports for various clients and company departments
Prepare budgets, periodic status reports, personnel reviews and other management reports as needed or requested
Demonstrate support for the Company's Safety & Environmental Management System and lead investigations of any and all potentially serious situations and implement and champion corrective measures
Work with Project Managers (immediate local supervisor) to manage all financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
Schedule jobs, procure procedure data, equipment requirements, personnel requirements and coordinate personnel. Ensure all related paperwork, records and related documents are appropriately prepared, controlled and maintained
Responsible for preparing prospective project bids and proposals for all assigned operations
Ensure that employees operating the various types of equipment are adequately trained/ mentored and have the appropriate license or certification to do so
Responsible for implementation and maintaining a documented mentoring program
Additional Information: The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule (2 weeks on and 2 weeks off). Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided, however transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
5 years experience in an oilfield construction and operations environment
10 years business management experience with a minimum of 5 years of leadership responsibilities
Ability to effectively interface with current and potential clients in a business development and technical information role
Knowledge of and ability to manage business operations including budgeting, personnel management, forecasting, bidding and proposal development and presentations
Knowledge of the preparation of project bids and the proposal process
Ability to assess complex issues and find solutions
Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate; and demonstrate commitment to established safety policies and procedures
Proficiency with computers and software programs such as Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects, Exchange E-mail
Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by CH2M Hill’s auto insurer (*new applicants must provide a 5-year DMV record at the time of application
Must have Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification or obtain a Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification with in 6 months of hire
