Job Description:
Responsibilities include performing internal company year-end and bank mid-year reserve report for SEC defined proved reserve categories (PDP, PDNP and PUD).  Oversee SEC compliance for reserve categories and review with company designated reserve compliance team.  Work closely with Netherland Sewell & Associates (NSAI) or other consultant selected as reserve auditing firm to ensure top valued properties valuations are verified by a third party.  Perform year-end and mid-year Bank Reviews with the company’s bank consortium as dictated by current loan agreement with these financial institutions.  Ensure that the proved reserves booked for the company are fair and accurate representations of the company reserve value.  Properly account for PUD and PDNP projects reclassified or originated each year and transfer or add these projects to the appropriate reserve category.  Work closely with the reservoir and operations groups and confirm that active projects or changes in status of wells are accurately reflected in the reserve database. Generate necessary reporting such as FASB 69 reconciliation and EIA 23 annual reports. Perform reserve reconciliation work on a top down basis at year-end and work with the Strategic Planning Group representative responsible for performing detailed project look-back analyses. Maintain the reserves database for the company. Assist the Senior A&D Engineer by performing an annual review of the reserve report to generate a listing of properties to be considered for inclusion in a sales package or auction to streamline the company’s property portfolio. Assist with property acquisition efforts as required. Perform other special corporate projects as requested.
 
Experience / Qualifications:
Position requires a BS in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering) with a minimum of 5 years experience performing economic analyses or reserve report supervision.  Reservoir engineering experience is also preferred.
