Job Description:
Highly experienced Mechanical Engineer needed to join a fast-paced, focused engineering team developing 3D rotary steerable tools.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Finite Element Analysis: Linear and Nonlinear Static Analysis.
Hydraulics: Systems design.
Mechanical Housings and linkages.
Pressure Housing Design.
Field Joint Design: Electrical and Fluid Connections.
Electronics Packaging: Surface and Downhole.
Work Conditions:
Overtime will be required as needed.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to develop designs from concept to final production.
Proven track record of producing innovative and field proven designs.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a team Player and able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization.
Required Experience/Education:
Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Experience:
10-15 years experience designing/developing LWD/MWD downhole tools from initial concept through to production.
Software Experience: Solid Works preferred.
Experience of developing rotary steerable devices, or drilling tools advantageous.
