Essential Job Duties:
Provide reservoir engineering support for shallow carbonate reservoirs that are undergoing CO2 Flood. Serve on a team with other Engineers, Geo Scientist and operating personnel that manage the reservoir to maximize value
Required Qualifications:
BS in Engineering and 3 to 5 years oil and gas industry experience.
Experience with enhanced oil recovery (waterflood experience and/or miscible gas)
Ability to analyze reservoir development to improve sweep and accelerate recovery through drilling, injection management and work overs.
Pattern management and surveillance skills.
Economic and risk assessment.
Reserve analysis and knowledge of SEC guidelines
Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with production engineers, technologist, well and injection analyst, geologists, petrophysicists and facility engineers
Be willing to travel to West Texas 10% of time
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Excellent OFM / DSS skills and knowledge of what these tools can provide.
Excellent PEEP and risk assessment skills.
Develop ability to run reservoir simulators to compare results of different reservoir management strategies.
Understand in depth the most significant economic factors that effect CO2 floods, e.g. CO2 cost, gas processing costs, EOR tax credits.
Pressure transient analytical skills
