Essential Job Duties:
- Determine various entities’ U.S. taxable income for inclusion in U.S. consolidated tax return.
- Calculate the tax basis of assets and stock for assigned entities.
- Gather data and document records for use in supporting tax positions in the tax returns for each entity as well as defend those positions in the event of a tax audit.
- Maintain historical records of each entity’s temporary differences for calculating deferred tax liability.
- Prepare quarterly estimates of taxable income to support[Company]’s estimated federal and state tax payments.
- Interact regularly with [Company] accounting and budget personnel in order to obtain a working knowledge of activities and transactions, from both accounting and operating perspectives.
- Isolate the federal tax treatment of specific operational transactions.
- Prepare outlook estimates of taxable income to support financial statement tax accruals.
- Perform tax research as needed.
- Prepare various separate entity tax returns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting preferred).
- 5-10 years income tax related and/or public accounting experience preferred.
- Post degree professional education regarding changes in tax laws.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexible to overtime.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).
