Reporting directly to the Canada Region Controller with a dotted line reports to certain product line/operational managers, this individual will be responsible for the operational result analysis and financial reporting for a number of Canadian product lines within [Company]. This position is ideal for energetic professionals with Accounting and/or Finance work experience dealing with a variety of financial systems, and able to manipulate data to obtain correct management reports including KPI's and profitability analysis. Some travel may be required for this position.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- an MBA, CGA or CMA designation or combination thereof
- solid understanding of management accounting and operational reporting
- strong analytical skills
- a good business sense and ability to question results and obtain appropriate answers
- ability to work with operations personnel
- ability to also work closely and confidently with senior management including the VP Canada Operations and all Product Line Leaders
- must have a strong systems ability/background to be able to work within two substantial ERP systems - JDE and SAP and to be able to pull together results from these as well as a Hyperion reporting system
- superior excel/access capabilities essential
- self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- able to supervise others
A background in the oil & gas service industry or other service/manufacturing areas would be helpful. Five to 10 years experience is requested but those with the proper 'initiative' will be considered
